Fatal incidents reported in the West Bank

Two separate incidents in the West Bank resulted in Palestinian fatalities. In Hebron, a seven-month-old infant named Sam Fahd Abu Haikal was killed and his parents were injured after gunfire hit their vehicle in the Tel Rumeida sector. The Palestinian Ministry of Health reported the event, while the Israeli military has not provided a comment. In a separate event near the village of Beitin, near Ramallah, 18-year-old Haitham Ezzat Omar Hamida was killed during an Israeli military operation. The Palestinian Ministry of Health confirmed the death and stated that Israeli forces are currently holding his body. The Israeli military claims soldiers fired at individuals throwing Molotov cocktails at vehicles, neutralizing one person. Palestinian agency Wafa reported that clashes broke out after Israeli forces entered the village, utilizing tear gas and live ammunition, leading to a fire in a field. Since October 2023, violence in the West Bank has intensified, with at least 1,079 Palestinians killed by Israeli soldiers or settlers.
