Cyprus national football team prepares for friendly against Liechtenstein
The Cyprus national football team will face Liechtenstein in a friendly match on June 7 at 16:00 in Vaduz, marking the conclusion of their current seasonal period. Head coach Apostolos Mantzios emphasized the need for focus and discipline, warning against the dangers of underestimating their opponent. The squad finalized their preparations at the Rheinpark Stadion. The team will be without Panagiotis Andreou, who is suspended following his red card in the recent 1-1 draw against Slovenia. Additionally, players Loizos Loizou and Konstantinos Laifis have departed the camp, the former for transfer completion and the latter for personal reasons. Mantzios noted that the team is undergoing a shift in mentality in preparation for the Nations League matches scheduled for the autumn. Midfielder Giorgos Naoum, representing the players, expressed optimism regarding the team's internal climate.
