Olympiacos targets three new player signings

Following the return of Kostas Fortounis on June 2, 2026, Olympiacos is actively pursuing three additional transfers to strengthen its squad. Goalkeeper Dimitris Stournaras is expected to return to the club soon as the third-choice goalkeeper to meet UEFA roster requirements. The club is focusing on the Spanish market as requested by coach Jose Luis Mendilibar. Unai Lopez is currently in negotiations with Olympiacos, although Rayo Vallecano is applying pressure for him to renew his contract. Additionally, the club is in advanced talks with 28-year-old right-back Pablo Maffeo of Mallorca. Maffeo, who holds both Spanish and Argentine citizenship, recorded 32 appearances with one goal and two assists during the past season. The deal for Maffeo is described as complex but nearing a resolution as the player is reportedly interested in the move.
