Eight pairs of siblings to compete in the 2026 World Cup
For the first time in history, eight pairs of brothers are confirmed to compete in the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Four pairs will play for the same national team, while four pairs will represent different countries. Quinten and Jurriën Timber (Netherlands), as well as Lucas and Théo Hernandez (France), represent the pairs playing for the same squad. Laros and Deroy Duarte will play for Cape Verde, and Leandro and Juninho Bacuna will represent Curaçao. Mixed allegiances include Desiré Doué (France) and Guéla Doué (Ivory Coast), as well as Iñaki Williams (Ghana) and Nico Williams (Spain). Additionally, John Souttar will represent Scotland while his brother Harry plays for Australia. Brian Brobbey (Netherlands) and Derrick Luckassen (Ghana) complete the list of siblings competing for different national teams.
