Variable weather conditions and hail reported in Troodos mountains

On Saturday, June 6, Cyprus experienced localized weather instability. While most of the island remained clear with summer-like temperatures, the Troodos mountain range saw localized rain and hailstorms. The Meteorological Department forecasts further clouds and isolated rain or thunderstorms, primarily in the mountains and inland areas, with winds from the southwest to northwest at 4 to 5 Beaufort. Tonight, temperatures are expected to drop to 16 degrees Celsius inland, 18 degrees on the coast, and 12 degrees in the mountains. For Sunday, clear weather is expected in the morning, followed by afternoon cloud cover and a possibility of isolated storms, with temperatures reaching up to 36 degrees inland. Similar weather patterns, including increased cloudiness in mountainous and inland regions, are expected to continue through Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.
