Melios Zoo owner provides marathon testimony to police regarding 16 complaints

Menelaos Menelaou, the owner of Melios Zoo Park, spent approximately 9 to 10 hours providing a deposition at the Kokkinotrimithia Police Station. The testimony pertains to 16 separate complaints involving alleged disciplinary and criminal offenses by state officials. Menelaou claims the allegations involve staff from the Veterinary Services, Game and Fauna Service, Environmental Service, District Administration, and the Department of Forests. To support his claims, he submitted a 145-page document to the police for investigation. The owner stated that he intends to publicly present each of these complaints in detail starting next week. The deposition follows a legal decision by the Court of Appeal concerning the future of the zoo. Police are currently evaluating the information provided to determine the next steps in their investigation.
