Fire damages residential building in Cyprus

At 03:45 on June 7, a fire broke out in a two-story building consisting of three apartments. The blaze originated in the kitchen of one ground-floor apartment and spread through a light well, affecting the second ground-floor unit and the single apartment on the first floor. Three fire engines were deployed to the scene, where firefighters used water hoses and breathing apparatus to extinguish the flames. All residents successfully evacuated the building on their own before emergency services arrived, and no injuries were reported. The incident resulted in damage to the apartments and their kitchen equipment. The Cyprus Fire Service is investigating the cause of the blaze in collaboration with the Police and the Electromechanical Service. This incident was among 41 total incidents handled by the Fire Service within a 24-hour period.
