Small wildfire controlled in Agrokipia

On Sunday, June 7, 2026, a wildfire occurred near the Kottafoi state forest in the community of Agrokipia, Nicosia district. The fire was reported at 11:32 and was brought under control by 11:45. A total area of 0.5 decares of grain and low wild vegetation was destroyed. The Department of Forests deployed 12 personnel and 4 fire engines to the site to extinguish the blaze. There were no reports of injuries or structural damage. Authorities have initiated an investigation to determine the causes of the fire.
