APOEL prepares for the new season under new management
APOEL has entered its second week of pre-season training under the guidance of new coach Nikos Papadopoulos and sporting director Zisis Vryzas. The team aims to return to competitive success as it marks its 100-year anniversary. Fabricio Pedroso has been officially signed to bolster the attacking line, with management actively seeking further reinforcements for the striker and attacking midfield positions. Players began training on July 6 in Cyprus, and the squad is scheduled to depart for the Netherlands on July 25 for the primary phase of preparation. A friendly match against Olympiacos is set for July 22 to assess the roster. Coach Papadopoulos, who is evaluating the current personnel, has emphasized his intent to implement an aggressive, possession-based style of play. Meanwhile, club president Charis Fotiou has called for patience and transparency, marking a transition toward more professional organizational standards.
