Cypriot football clubs update: transfers and preparation schedules
Several Cypriot football clubs have released updates regarding their upcoming season preparations and roster changes. AEL Limassol will begin its preparation on July 9, 2026, including medical checks, training sessions in Cyprus, and a training camp at the Sielanka Sport Centre in Poland from August 1. AEL has scheduled eight friendly matches, including games against Atromitos, Panetolikos, and Polonia Warsaw. Meanwhile, APOEL has announced its own preparation program starting July 6, with a training camp in the Netherlands. In terms of transfers, Pafos FC has officially signed 20-year-old Portuguese midfielder Alexandre Brito from Sporting CP on a contract until June 2030. Additionally, Olympiacos Nicosia has secured the 25-year-old Greek forward Panagiotis Tzimas on a 1+1 year deal, and APOEL has welcomed Nikolaos Angelopoulos to their squad.
