James Dalamangas arrested in Aigio after 27 years as a fugitive

James Dalamangas, a 55-year-old man wanted for a murder committed in Australia 27 years ago, has been arrested in Aigio, Greece. He was on the Interpol wanted list and had been living in Greece without a formal police identification card. The arrest occurred during a routine traffic stop as he was leaving his residence with his partner and his father. Upon searching his home, Greek police discovered a crossbow, knives near his bed, and six pitbull dogs. Law enforcement officials had previously identified the property as heavily secured. Following his arrest, the suspect admitted to his true identity and confessed to the murder committed in Australia. Authorities are currently reviewing documents seized from the property during the investigation.
