Journalist Giorgos Tattis alleges threats from MP Dimitris Baros

Tattis claims the incident occurred after he approached Baros to invite him as a guest on his television program on Vergina channel. According to the journalist, Baros refused the invitation and responded aggressively when Tattis suggested he would report the refusal. Tattis alleges that the MP stated, 'Do you know who I am? I can destroy your career if I want.' The exchange reportedly took place a few days after the legislative elections. Tattis confirmed on Radio Proto on June 8 that he has received no communication or official response from the Amesi Dimokratia party regarding his allegations. The journalist argues that public officials have a duty to be accountable to the media. No official statement has been released by the party regarding the incident.
