Limassol police investigate theft of jewelry valued at nearly 10 million euros

Police in Limassol, Cyprus, are investigating an alleged case of theft by an agent involving jewelry worth 9,882,000 euros. The complainant, a foreign jewelry manufacturer, stated that he entrusted the items to a 54-year-old Greek-Cypriot associate on Saturday, June 6, for sale purposes. The two parties had a previous professional relationship. According to the complaint, the suspect was expected to meet the owner on Monday evening, June 8, to report on sales progress and settle payments. The suspect failed to appear at the meeting and has since become unreachable. Authorities have issued an arrest warrant for the individual, who is currently being sought. The case is being handled by the Limassol Criminal Investigation Department (CID) as theft by an agent.
