Investigation launched following stabbing of 23-year-old in Limassol
On Tuesday, June 9, a 23-year-old man was hospitalized with serious abdominal stab wounds following a confrontation in the Kato Polemidia area of Limassol. Police reported that the incident occurred around 14:00 near a local café. An eyewitness described seeing the victim in an intense argument with another individual, involving pushing, shortly before the stabbing. The victim was transported to Limassol General Hospital, where he underwent emergency surgery and was intubated. Police authorities have secured the crime scene to collect evidence, including potential surveillance footage and forensic traces. A warrant for the arrest of a suspect has been issued.
