Mercedes-AMG announces new all-electric GT 4-door coupe

Mercedes-AMG has unveiled its new all-electric GT 4-door coupe, built on the dedicated AMG.EA platform. The high-performance model, designated GT 63, is powered by three axial flux electric motors—two at the rear and one at the front. These motors generate a combined output of 1,169 horsepower and 2,000 Nm of torque. The vehicle achieves a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 2.1 seconds and reaches a top speed of 300 km/h. To manage performance, the car utilizes an 800V battery system with Formula 1-inspired direct cooling technology. Charging capabilities allow for up to 600 kW input, enabling a 10% to 80% charge in approximately 11 minutes and adding 460 kilometers of range in 10 minutes. Furthermore, the car features the AMGFORCE S+ software program, designed to simulate the driving sensation and auditory feedback of a traditional V8 engine.
