Authorities investigate infanticide case in Kynšperk nad Ohří

Police in the Czech town of Kynšperk nad Ohří have arrested a 35-year-old woman on charges of severe homicide following the discovery of newborn remains. The investigation began last week when the suspect's mother-in-law discovered a human arm in a plastic bag within the garden of the family home. The town, located approximately 20 kilometers from the German border, has seen extensive police activity as search teams inspected the area and local waste bins to recover the remainder of the body. Authorities are investigating the possibility that the remains were discarded or fed to dogs. The suspect was identified after police monitored local women who had been pregnant. She remains in custody pending further judicial proceedings. The official charges filed are for particularly serious homicide.
