Cyta hosts conference on responsible corporate governance in Nicosia
On Tuesday, June 9, 2026, the telecommunications provider Cyta held a conference titled 'Responsible Governance, Values in Action' at its headquarters in Nicosia. The event gathered representatives from the government, business sector, various organizations, and the media to discuss the role of corporate governance in fostering trust, accountability, and value creation. Speakers included Cyta chairwoman Maria Tsiakka, CEO George Metzakis, and sustainable development director Aliki Drakou. They outlined three essential dimensions for effective governance: board oversight, alignment with strategic operations, and integration into sustainable organizational practices. Additionally, Maria Antoniou-Hamatsou, head of the Institutional Framework, Regulatory Compliance and Corporate Governance Committee, presented Cyta’s internal governance framework.
