Poland insists on inclusion in Ukraine peace talks
On Tuesday, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk declared that Poland must be involved in any negotiations aimed at ending the war in Ukraine. This statement follows a meeting in London between the leaders of Britain, Germany, and France with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, where they expressed support for ceasefire discussions. Tusk warned that any agreements reached without Poland's participation would not be binding for his country. During a press conference, the Prime Minister also noted that he had spoken with Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, who reportedly expressed reservations regarding the format of the London meeting. Tusk emphasized that Poland's strategic position requires its active involvement in security decisions affecting the region. No official response has been issued by the participants of the London meeting regarding Tusk's ultimatum. These developments reflect ongoing concerns within the European Union regarding the inclusivity of diplomatic processes concerning the Ukrainian conflict.
