Aris Limassol signs Gustavo Saez to a permanent contract

Aris Limassol has officially exercised its option to acquire 21-year-old Brazilian attacking midfielder Gustavo Saez from Vila Nova FC. The player, born on February 2, 2005, had been on loan at the Cypriot club since January 2025. Following the completion of the transfer, Saez signed a four-year contract that keeps him with Aris until the summer of 2030. During his five-month loan spell, the midfielder made 17 appearances, scoring one goal and providing two assists. Prior to joining Aris, Saez played for Vila Nova FC, where he recorded 28 appearances with six goals and four assists across all competitions. His development path included stints with Botafogo U17, as well as the U20 squads of Bangu RJ, Barretos EC, and Athletico. He moved to Vila Nova FC in January 2024 before transitioning to the senior team in January 2025.
