Twelve killed in mass shooting near Johannesburg

On Tuesday night, at approximately 23:10 local time, a group of more than ten armed suspects carried out a mass shooting in an informal settlement near Johannesburg, South Africa. The suspects, who arrived in a white Toyota Quantum vehicle, entered the settlement from two different access points and opened fire on residents. Eight men and three women were declared dead at the scene, while one additional man died later in the hospital. At least nine other individuals sustained gunshot wounds and are currently receiving medical treatment. Police have launched a manhunt for the suspects, who fled the scene in the same vehicle used for the attack.
