Omonia 29M approves low-budget plan for upcoming season
Omonia 29M members held a prolonged General Assembly to vote on the budget for the upcoming football season in the first division. The membership voted by majority to approve the Board of Directors' proposal, which prioritizes a low football payroll. The board set the football budget at approximately 500,000 euros, with an additional equivalent amount required to cover total operational needs for the division. A significant focus of the new fiscal plan involves redirecting funds toward infrastructure investments at the training center and Arhermou. Spokesperson Michalis Xenofontos noted that while the low salary budget presents challenges for a top-flight team, the strategy aims to ensure long-term financial stability and avoid debt. The assembly featured large physical attendance, significant online participation, and a record number of individual member proposals. Regarding the roster, the club indicated that current processes are primarily focused on the existing squad, with potential departures not ruled out.
