Razvan Lucescu departs PAOK as Alessio Lisci arrives as new manager

PAOK FC has officially announced the mutual termination of its contract with 57-year-old manager Razvan Lucescu. Following his departure, the Greek club has selected 40-year-old Italian coach Alessio Lisci as his successor. Lisci, who previously managed Mirandes and the Levante youth setup, is scheduled to arrive in Thessaloniki on June 21, 2026, to finalize the agreement. Meanwhile, reports from Romania indicate that Lucescu is in advanced negotiations with the Qatari club Al Sadd. The proposed deal in Qatar is reportedly worth approximately 4 million dollars annually. While the club prefers a two-year contract, Lucescu is pushing for a three-year commitment. No final agreement has been reached yet between the two parties. PAOK intends for Lisci to begin planning for the new season immediately, focusing on strengthening the defensive and midfield lines.
