OEB committee meets with the Minister of Labour to discuss employment challenges
On June 2, the Committee for Education, Training and Attraction of Young Talent of the Employers and Industrialists Federation (OEB) met with the Minister of Labour and Social Insurance, Marinos Mousiouttas. The meeting was chaired by Yiangos Hadjiyiannis. The participants focused on the challenges businesses face in recruiting and retaining qualified personnel. Discussions included prospects for boosting employment and increasing the productivity of the Cypriot economy. Both parties explored ways to better address labor market needs and skill development. A shared commitment was confirmed to strengthen cooperation between the Ministry and the OEB to support the country's workforce. The OEB indicated that it continues to engage in dialogue with stakeholders to shape policies aimed at enhancing competitiveness and modernizing labor practices.
