Nicosia hosts 3D projection show on historic Venetian walls

On June 9, the Nicosia municipality launched an audiovisual project featuring 3D mapping on the historic Venetian walls at Eleftheria Square. The 17-minute film depicts the history of Nicosia and its ties to the European Union. Interior Minister Constantinos Ioannou and Nicosia Mayor Charalambos Prountzos attended the premiere, emphasizing the capital's role in hosting European leaders and its commitment to EU integration. The event was also attended by various MPs, ambassadors, and state officials. Screenings will continue throughout the summer every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 21:00 to 22:00. Access to the light show at the D'Avila bastion section of the walls is free for the public. The exhibition serves as a cultural initiative highlighting the city's heritage and its identity as an active member of the European family.
