AEK Larnaca appoints Juan Torrijo as head of performance and medical department

AEK Larnaca FC has officially announced the appointment of Juan Torrijo as the new Head of the Performance and Medical Department. The agreement is set for a duration of two years. Torrijo brings extensive professional experience, having previously worked with the Valencia CF academies and the first team, where he contributed to victories in La Liga, the UEFA Cup, and the UEFA Super Cup. Throughout his career, he has held positions at Maccabi Tel Aviv, Brighton & Hove Albion, Chongqing Dangdai Lifan, Shenzhen FC, Kasımpaşa SK, and the Ecuador national team. During these tenures, he collaborated with various high-profile coaches, including Unai Emery, Pako Ayestarán, Óscar García, Jordi Cruyff, Peter Bosz, Shota Arveladze, and Aitor Karanka. He also has significant experience in major continental competitions, having participated in the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League group stages. His role at AEK Larnaca will involve overseeing the athletic conditioning and medical support structures for the club.
