Bill Gates testifies before U.S. Congress regarding Jeffrey Epstein ties
Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates appeared before the U.S. House Committee on Oversight in Washington for a closed-door deposition regarding his past association with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. In his opening statement, Gates denied any knowledge of Epstein's criminal activities and stated he had never witnessed or been alerted to them. The investigation specifically focuses on Gates' relationship with Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell. Between 2011 and 2014, Gates and Epstein held multiple meetings to discuss the potential creation of an investment fund, a plan that did not materialize. While Gates has not been accused of any illegal acts related to Epstein, he has previously described his association with him as a massive mistake. Furthermore, Gates' office has formally rejected various allegations found in Epstein-related files, including claims of drug use and the intentional transmission of a sexually transmitted disease to his former wife. The testimony was recorded in writing rather than on video, with plans to release a transcript at a later date.
