Fête de la musique 2026 to be held in Limassol

The Fête de la Musique 2026 festival will take place on June 20 and 21 in the historic centre of Limassol at Castle Square. Organized by the Alliance Française of Limassol in partnership with the Limassol Municipality and supported by the Department of Contemporary Culture, the event celebrates World Music Day. The festival has been a fixture in Limassol since 1987. Official opening ceremonies are scheduled for Saturday, June 20, at 7 p.m., featuring Mayor Yiannis Armeftis and Alliance Française President Niki Papadopoulou Papa. The program begins with a parade by 50 musicians from the Batukinio percussion group through the city center. Musical genres will range from French classics, jazz, and soul to rebetiko, rock, and ska. The Sunday program includes performances by the Limassol Municipal Philharmonic and local musical acts. All events are free and open to the public.
