EKO and Cyprus Police hold road safety training for National Guard recruits
On June 3 and 4, 2026, the company EKO collaborated with the Cyprus Police Traffic Department to conduct a road safety training program for young drivers serving in the Cyprus National Guard. The experiential training took place in a controlled environment to help military personnel understand driving risks. Key activities included simulations and exercises focusing on the dangers of driver distraction, excessive speed, fatigue, and the consumption of alcohol or drugs. Participants were tasked with managing realistic driving scenarios to evaluate their reaction times and vehicle control. The program concluded with sessions dedicated to personal responsibility and decision-making behind the wheel. The initiative aims to reduce accident rates among young motorists and motorcyclists, who are statistically categorized as highly vulnerable road users. This training program is part of EKO’s ongoing commitment to promoting responsible driving behavior.
