Leonidas Konomis nears transfer from Olympiakos to Apollon

Andreas Panaretou, the new press officer for Olympiakos, has officially confirmed that Apollon Limassol submitted a formal proposal for the 24-year-old midfielder Leonidas Konomis. The transfer is in its final stages, with only procedural and regulatory matters remaining to be finalized. Konomis, who recorded 31 appearances for Olympiakos during the last season, has been a target for Apollon since January. Reports indicate that the player has a release clause of 50,000 euros, which would allow the transfer to proceed if paid. Additionally, Olympiakos announced plans for a significant roster overhaul for the upcoming season, expecting more than 15 new signings. The club is currently in discussions regarding the appointment of a head coach, with Giorgos Kostis among the primary candidates.
