Toronto hosts world record for largest human foosball game

A new world record for the largest human foosball game was set last month at the Humber Polytechnic campus in Toronto, Canada. A total of 254 participants took part in the event held on a specially constructed pitch. The project was organized by the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) to celebrate FIFA events and support local sports development. In collaboration with Ontario Soccer and the City of Toronto's Soccer for All Legacy program, the initiative aims to facilitate the training of 11,000 new coaches and referees. OLG President and CEO Duncan Hannay emphasized the organization's commitment to community investment through the province's gaming proceeds. Guinness World Records adjudicator Chloe McCarthy oversaw the proceedings and officially confirmed the participant count. The event featured entertainment including DJ music and local spectators.
