Cyprus police launches new digital portal for public services

The Cyprus Police officially launched the DigiPol portal on June 8, 2026, to allow citizens to access services online without visiting stations. The platform is accessible via the GOV.CY portal and provides over 30 services, including the issuance of criminal record certificates, police reports, and loss of identification declarations. The project was presented at a press conference by Deputy Chief of Police Panikos Stavrou. It was funded by the European Union’s Recovery and Resilience Mechanism as part of the Cyprus Recovery and Resilience Plan. The development involved collaboration between the KIOS Research and Innovation Center at the University of Cyprus, the company NETU, and various government departments. This initiative aims to streamline interactions between the public and law enforcement through digital transformation.
