Amor Layouni joins AEK Larnaca

AEK Larnaca has finalized the acquisition of 33-year-old Tunisian winger Amor Layouni. The player, who primarily operates on the right flank but is capable of playing on both sides, was identified as a target by AEK sporting director Xavi Roca. The club's interest was reportedly solidified following the UEFA Conference League match between AEK and BK Häcken on December 11, 2025, where Layouni played the full 90 minutes. That match ended in a 1-1 draw, with goals from an Helander own goal and a late equalizer by Hammar. Layouni had been part of the Swedish club BK Häcken since 2023. AEK scouting staff monitored the player’s performance closely following the European fixture. The signing is intended to bolster the team’s attacking options for the remainder of the season.
