British couple arrested in Spain for child abandonment

Spanish authorities in Benalmadena, Costa del Sol, arrested a 41-year-old man and a 28-year-old woman, both British nationals, on charges of child abandonment. The couple allegedly left their three children, aged six months, two, and four years, alone in a hotel room to attend a party. Reports indicate that the four-year-old was left in charge of the younger siblings in a disorderly room. Following their discovery, the children were transported to a hospital in Malaga for medical assessment. The Daily Mail reported that the six-month-old infant tested positive for cocaine, though Spanish police have declined to confirm these results, citing an ongoing investigation.
