Italian authorities dismantle illegal IPTV network in Crotone

Italian financial police have uncovered three illegal IPTV distribution centers in Crotone, Calabria, as part of an anti-piracy operation. The investigation resulted in the reporting of four Italian suspects for copyright infringement and money laundering. Authorities seized assets valued at approximately 650,000 euros. The criminal network provided illegal access to streaming services including Sky, DAZN, Netflix, and Disney+ at prices ranging from 10 to 40 euros per month. At least 2,769 users have been identified by investigators, who noted that illicit profits were laundered through cryptocurrencies and the legal economy. The operation is part of broader efforts to combat digital piracy ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Users of such illegal services are warned that they may face administrative fines ranging from 154 to 5,000 euros.
