Marios Argyridis to remain president of Omonia Nicosia

The Athletic Club Omonia Nicosia announced that Marios Argyridis will continue to serve as president. His candidacy is the only one submitted for the upcoming Board of Directors election. A total of 15 candidates were listed for the board, including Gianna Argyrou, Kostas Vasiliou, Michalis Vasiliou, Socratis Efstratiou, Antonis Zymaras, Aimilios Ioannou, Nikolas Kalogirou, Nasos Koukos, Kostas Petsas, Polys Poumpouris, Nikolas Filotheou, Andreas Charitou, Christoforos Christoforou, and Lambros Christou. Because no competing nominations were filed, a formal vote for the board will not be necessary. The Regular Electoral General Assembly is still scheduled to take place on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at 17:30. During this meeting, the election of the Audit Committee and other agenda items will proceed as planned. The board remains subject to official ratification by the General Assembly in accordance with the club's statutes.
