Cypriot officials meet with Bollywood representatives to discuss filming in Protaras

Deputy Minister of Tourism Kostas Koumis and Mayor of Paralimni-Deryneia Giorgos Nikolettos held a meeting in Protaras with a delegation of Bollywood film producers and director Anjali Bhushan. The primary objective of the discussions was to evaluate the feasibility of utilizing Protaras as a filming location for international cinematic projects. The officials presented the region's natural landscape, existing infrastructure, and general tourism potential as key assets for foreign production companies. Mayor Nikolettos expressed the municipality's willingness to support film productions to enhance the region's international exposure and foster cooperation in the film and tourism sectors. The Indian delegation acknowledged the area's potential as a natural backdrop for cinematic works. The talks serve as an exploratory phase to determine if future Bollywood projects can be hosted in the region.
