Increased traffic expected near Pedoulas due to Cherry Festival

On June 13 and 14, 2026, the annual Cherry Festival is taking place in the village of Pedoulas. Due to the high number of visitors expected, local police have announced special traffic regulations on the Prodromos–Kykkos road. Heavy traffic has already been reported in the area. These traffic measures will be in effect specifically between 10:30 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. during the weekend. The police are managing the flow of vehicles for both the Prodromos and Kalopanagiotis routes. Drivers are advised to be patient, exercise caution, and strictly follow the instructions provided by on-duty police officers. Additionally, motorists are instructed to observe all temporary road signage and traffic regulation markers placed in the vicinity. The initiative aims to ensure public safety and facilitate smoother vehicle movement during the festival period.
