Referee Ioannis Tsibouris reports vandalism at his home in Messini

On Saturday morning, Greek basketball referee Ioannis Tsibouris reported that unidentified individuals wearing hoods vandalized his home in Messini. The perpetrators sprayed slogans on the exterior walls of the residence. Tsibouris officially filed a report with the Kalamata police department regarding the incident. The referee, who served on the officiating crews for Game 1 and Game 3 of the Stoiximan GBL finals between Olympiacos and Panathinaikos, expressed concerns for his safety and that of his family. The incident occurred during a period of high tension surrounding the 5th final match of the series. Athletic organizations, specifically the Central Refereeing Committee (KED) and the Federation of Greek Basketball Referees (ODKE), are expected to issue official reactions. No arrests have been reported, and authorities are currently investigating the matter.
