35-year-old man arrested for theft of aluminum beams in Ayia Napa

Police have arrested a 35-year-old man in connection with a theft case involving 22 aluminum beams. The items, valued at 40,000 euros, were reported stolen by a 58-year-old business owner on June 5, 2026. According to police reports, the theft occurred at an open-air site in Ayia Napa between January and June 2026. Evidence gathered during the investigation led to the issuance of a judicial arrest warrant for the suspect. The individual was taken into custody on the morning of June 5, 2026. He is scheduled to appear before the Famagusta District Court tomorrow for a remand hearing. The Famagusta Criminal Investigation Department (TAE) is conducting the investigation.
