Two fatal motorcycle accidents occur in Cyprus
On Sunday, a 55-year-old motorcyclist named Christos Siayilos from Geri died in a collision on the Nicosia-Limassol motorway near Skarinou. Around 8:30 a.m., while riding with a group of ten, Siayilos lost control of his chopper-type motorcycle while attempting to avoid a dog that had been struck by a previous vehicle. He fell onto the road and was subsequently struck by the following motorcyclist, leading to his death. In a separate incident on Saturday, 23-year-old Adeel Akhtar from Pakistan died in Strovolos after his motorcycle collided with the rear of a vehicle driven by a 39-year-old woman. The woman and her five-year-old passenger were uninjured. Larnaca and Nicosia traffic police are currently investigating both fatal accidents.
