Motorcyclist dies in traffic accident in Strovolos

A 23-year-old Pakistani national, Adeel Akhtar, died following a traffic collision on Saturday afternoon in Strovolos. The incident occurred at approximately 12:10 p.m. on Spyrou Kyprianou Avenue, near the Kalamon roundabout. Police report that the motorcycle driven by the victim collided with the rear of a vehicle traveling in front of him. The car was driven by a 39-year-old woman who had her five-year-old son secured in a child safety seat in the back. The motorcyclist was transported by ambulance to Nicosia General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead upon arrival. Neither the driver nor the child sustained any injuries during the collision. Nicosia traffic police have launched an investigation to determine the exact circumstances and causes of the accident.
