Cyprus women's basketball team reaches FIBA 3x3 Europe Cup qualifying semifinals

The Cyprus women's national 3x3 basketball team has qualified for the semifinals of the FIBA 3x3 Europe Cup Qualifier 2026. The tournament takes place in Pristina, Kosovo, on June 13-14. The competition serves as a qualifying round for the final phase of the tournament to be held in Antwerp, with only one ticket available per category. The Cypriot women's team competed in Group A alongside Azerbaijan and Malta. The men's national team, composed of Panagiotis Markou, Giorgos Tretiakov, Marios Georgiou, and Paris Maragos, competed in Group A against Ireland and Kosovo. The men's tournament format included matches against Ireland and the hosts, Kosovo. The top two teams from each group advanced to the semifinals to compete for the qualifying spot.
