Giorgos Mylonakis discharged from rehabilitation center

Deputy Minister Giorgos Mylonakis has been discharged from a rehabilitation center following significant health improvements. His medical emergency began on April 15, 2026, when he fainted during a meeting at the Maximos Mansion. He was rushed to Evangelismos Hospital, where doctors diagnosed a ruptured brain aneurysm. Mylonakis underwent an immediate and successful embolization surgery, followed by a period in the intensive care unit under sedation and intubation. By early May, medical staff began weaning him off sedatives, and he showed positive neurological and motor responses. He was transferred to a specialized rehabilitation center in Greece on May 28, where he remained until his recent discharge. His wife, Tina Messaropoulou, remained by his side throughout the treatment process.
