Cyprus University of Technology announces second development pole in Limassol

The Cyprus University of Technology (TEPAK) is planning a second development pole at the site of the former Limassol Hospital and the First Technical School. The project has a budget of approximately 104 million euros and covers 57,500 square meters of built space. The land was officially transferred to the university by the Council of Ministers in February 2024. President Nikos Christodoulides expressed his political support for the project during a meeting in May 2025, confirming it is ready for implementation. The facility will house the School of Health Sciences, the School of Management and Economics, a language centre, a learning centre with an amphitheatre, and a 120-bed student residence. Rector Panayiotis Zaphiris stated that the expansion aims to meet long-term academic, research, and housing needs. This development is separate from the student housing project at Verengaria, which is expected to accommodate students by September 2026.
