Ronald McDonald House Cyprus opens new extension

On June 11, 2026, the Ronald McDonald House in Nicosia officially inaugurated a new wing to expand its free accommodation services for families. Established in 2022, the facility has hosted over 900 families and provided more than 11,000 overnight stays to date. The expansion includes four fully-equipped guest rooms, an upgraded communal kitchen, and enhanced laundry facilities. The addition increases the organization's annual capacity by 120 families, providing free housing, meals, and support to those with children receiving medical treatment. The inauguration ceremony was attended by government officials, media representatives, and project sponsors. Petrolina (Holdings) Public Ltd participated in the expansion by sponsoring one of the new rooms. The event also featured the unveiling of the organization's refreshed visual identity.
