Performance of The King of the Upside-Down World in Pretoria

The musical poetry cycle titled The King of the Upside-Down World by Giorgos Kalozois will be performed in Pretoria, South Africa. This event is organized as part of the Cypriot Presidency of the Council of the European Union. The work features music composed by Maria Zannetou, which aims to complement the lyrical themes of childhood, love, and identity found in the poems. Directed by Irini Andreou, the production combines poetry, music, and theatrical elements into a unified stage performance. Previous iterations of this work have been presented at various European festivals and have earned recognition in international composition competitions.
