Aidar Zakarin and Tamara Meteleva win the 0-2000 Challenge cycling race
The 0-2000 Challenge cycling race, organized by Activate Cyprus as part of the Troodos Sports Festival, took place on June 13-14. Over 100 athletes participated in the event. Aidar Zakarin of the TRIBE Cycling Club secured first place in the general classification for the fourth consecutive time, while Tamara Meteleva won the women's category for the second consecutive year. The race consisted of a 71km route from the Limassol Molos to Mount Olympus and a 3.5km individual time trial (ITT). On Saturday, June 13, Zakarin finished the 71km route from Kouris Dam in 1:48:18, followed by Kirill Kolenchits with 1:50:54. During the Sunday ITT, Zakarin recorded a time of 08:36, while Kolenchits clocked 09:34. Zakarin finished with a total time of 1:56:55, ahead of Kirill Kolenchits of TeamVertigo at 2:00:29 and Michalis Theocharous of the Famagusta Cycling Team at 2:13:03.
