Bonnie Tyler wakes from medically induced coma in Portugal
British singer Bonnie Tyler has awakened from a medically induced coma after five weeks of treatment at a hospital in Faro, Portugal. The 74-to-75-year-old artist remains in serious condition in the intensive care unit. Medical complications reportedly began after emergency intestinal surgery performed in early May. Reports from local media, including Correio da Manha, previously indicated she was on a ventilator. A spokesperson confirmed she is no longer in a coma, but noted that her recovery will require significant time. Due to her health status, all of the singer's scheduled summer concerts have been cancelled. Doctors remain optimistic regarding her full recovery, although she continues to receive intensive care.
