Morgan Brown granted Cypriot citizenship
On June 16, 2026, 26-year-old Apollon Limassol midfielder Morgan Brown officially obtained a Cypriot passport. Having resided in Cyprus since 2019, the player is now eligible to be called up to the Cyprus national football team. According to Cyprus Football Association (CFA) regulations, a player must receive four consecutive call-ups and make at least two appearances to be classified as a local player rather than a foreigner. Due to FIFA scheduling constraints, it is unlikely Brown will meet these requirements before the end of 2026. Consequently, his status change in the Apollon roster, which would free up a spot in List A, is expected to be finalized around 2027. This change is considered strategically important for the club's future squad planning.
