Cyprus Football Association initiates support program for retired players

The Cyprus Football Association (KOP) has announced a new initiative to assist retired football players in their transition to life after professional sports. Deputy President Theodoros Theodoulou addressed the event titled 'The Next Day', which was organized in partnership with the Football Association of Retired Players. The program is part of the KOP’s social responsibility framework aimed at addressing the challenges faced by athletes upon concluding their careers. During the event, the Federation reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining a steady collaboration with former players. Theodoulou expressed the association's appreciation for the historical contribution of these athletes to local football. The event served as a platform for discussion and exchange of views on supporting those who have served the sport. The initiative aims to provide long-term institutional support and foster stronger ties between the current federation and its veterans.
